For Hans Tschida, the year 2021 is covered in gold. After being named "Sweet Winemaker of the Year" at the International Wine Challenge in London and winning the Salon Österreich Wein (Austrian Wine Salon), the Illmitz wine star has now also been named "Best National Producer of the Year" at the Austrian Wine Challenge Vienna 2021 (AWC Vienna). His Muskat Ottonel Schilfwein (reed wine) 2019 was also awarded the title of "Best Sweet Wine of the Year" in the international AWC competition. In addition to a gold medal for this wine, it rained down a further eight gold medals and one silver medal for Tschida's sweet wines, which are in demand worldwide. "We have been richly gifted with awards this year," says a beaming Hans Tschida. "The AWC is now adding to it, we are very happy! A truly incredible year." The reed wine Muskat Ottonel 2019, fermented in steel tanks and matured there for a long time, is available in selected specialist shops and at 36 euros for the 0.375-litre bottle ex cellar as well as via the winery's online shop. Hans Tschida expects an exceptionally good vintage this year, and the Muskat Ottonel is also promising again. The grapes have been lying in the foil tunnel on the reed mats to dry since mid-September. Depending on the weather, they will be pressed after two to four months for the reed wine 2021.

Tschida's successful year 2021: "Sweet Winemaker of the Year" at the International Wine Challenge (IWC) 2021 in London for the seventh time - more than anyone else in the world. "Austrian Sweet Wine Trophy" of the IWC for the Gelber Muskateller Schilfwein 2008 and a further four gold and nine silver medals. Winner of the Salon Österreich Wein and State Winner of the Burgenland State Wine Awards with the Muskat Ottonel Schilfwein 2019 in the category "Noble Sweet Wines".
