Youngest members of respekt-BIODYN take stock

Training and exchange as a driving force. An inspired first year at respekt-BIODYN

One year after joining, two wineries from Württemberg take stock. With Moritz Haidle and the father-son duo Jochen and Adrian Beurer, two high-profile wineries from Germany have been strengthening the European respekt-BIODYN winegrowers' group since 2025. The professional dialogue proved to be particularly valuable for them.

Jochen Beurer and Moritz Haidle have been cultivating their vineyards biodynamically for years. Joining the respekt-BIODYN winegrowers' group in 2025 therefore did not mean making a change, but rather becoming part of a structured network for knowledge transfer, critical discourse and the further development of biodynamic practice. Moritz Haidle emphasises the value of his membership: "Especially in the regional groups, there is an intensive exchange that helps us in the vineyard and cellar. The cross-regional meetings at St John's Day and in December last year were a great enrichment both professionally and personally." Adrian Beurer adds: "Climate change is really affecting us all. Discussing specific challenges with experienced colleagues helps enormously. A very exciting and forward-looking seminar programme is also being prepared for this year."

The two-day symposium on homeopathy in the vineyard, organised jointly with Demeter Austria and featuring the Mexican professor of holohomeopathy Radko Tichavský, is on the programme from 8 to 9 May. Seminars are also being organised on topics such as ‘Animals in the vineyard’, ‘Vine nutrition’, ‘Methods against flavescence dorée’ and ‘Water management’. The programme is open to all winegrowers as well as professionals from the gastronomy, sommellerie and retail sectors who are interested in applied biodynamics. The courses will take place on respekt-BIODYN member farms, the homeopathy conference on a Demeter farm. All information and registration details will be available from mid-March at respekt-biodyn.bio/bildung.html

Fritz Wieninger, Chairman of respekt-BIODYN, who visited the Württemberg group together with his deputy Rainer Schnaitmann after last year's harvest: "It is a pleasure to have Beurers and Moritz Haidle among us. We only accept new members by invitation and only those who credibly support our path and fit harmoniously into the group. Further training and dialogue are a central component of this. The seminar programme is aimed equally at new and long-standing members and our teams."
